Robert Partain focuses his practice on representing vulnerable elderly and dependent adults, and their families, when they have suffered from neglect and abuse at the hands of those who were entrusted to protect them, such as skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
Mr. Partain graduated cum laude from the University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) in 2002. While in law school, Mr. Partain was the executive articles editor for the Hastings Law Review, a member of the Thurston Honor Society, and a law clerk for Dean Mary Kay Kane.
After briefly working at a corporate defense firm, Mr. Partain began representing injured Plaintiffs in 2004 and has done so exclusively for the past 20 years. Mr. Partain has extensive experience in different types of cases, including products liability, catastrophic injury, and defective pharmaceuticals. Since 2019, nearly all of Mr. Partain’s cases have involved the neglect and abuse of elderly and dependent adults.
Mr. Partain is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada. He has been admitted in multiple federal jurisdictions, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Southern District of California, Central District of California, Northern District of California, Eastern District of California, Southern District of Indiana, Northern District of Illinois, District of New Jersey, and Eastern District of Missouri. Mr. Partain is a member of the American Association for Justice, Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Partain has tried cases throughout California and the United States. He has several publications to his name, including articles regarding the neglect and abuse of the elderly.
When he is not working, Mr. Partain enjoys golf, spending time with his teenage son Nathan, and a dinner out in his adopted home town of Long Beach.
